Q&A with Allatoona's Logan McGuire

Meet Logan McGuire, a 6-foot-3, 180-pound pitcher from Allatoona High School who has signed to play at Georgia Tech. McGuire is a member of the Metro Big 10 cover for the 2021 Georgia Dugout Preview Magazine. Here are 10 questions with him.

 

Q: What in-game rituals or superstitions do you have?

A: I listen to the same song and I wear crocs before each game I pitch.

 

Q: Who is your favorite professional sports team?

A: Atlanta Braves.

 

Q: What is your favorite food to eat?

A: Definitely barbecue.

 

Q: Name one thing people may be surprised to learn about you? 

A: Most people find it really interesting that I'm color blind.

 

Q: Who is your favorite teacher and what is your favorite high school subject?

A: My favorite teacher is Ms. Pace from middle school and my favorite subject is history.

 

Q: Outside of baseball, what is your next hobby? 

A: Hanging out with my brother and taking him to do whatever he wants.

 

Q: If you could travel anywhere outside the U.S., what would be your dream location and why?

A: Madagascar, because it's a island that seems super cool.

 

Q: Name the person you'd like to meet the most.

A: Mike Trout. I want to know how he goes through life and what he thinks.

 

Q: Who has been the most influential person in your life?

A: My dad and my brother. They push me every day to get what I want the most and I love them for that.

 

Q: After baseball, what career are you planning to pursue?

A: I'd like to either become a professional sports coach or doing You Tube with my brother.
