Q&A with Michael Braswell

Meet Michael Braswell, a 6-foot-1, 185-pound shortstop/pitcher from Campbell High School who has signed to play at South Carolina. Braswell is a member of the Metro Big 10 cover for the 2021 Georgia Dugout Preview Magazine. Here are 10 questions with him.

 

Q: What in-game rituals or superstitions do you have?

A: I have to stitch up my batting gloves twice before I get in the batter's box.

 

Q: Who is your favorite professional sports team?

A: Los Angeles Dodgers

 

Q: What is your favorite food to eat?

A: Lemon pepper wings from American Deli.

 

Q: Name one thing people may be surprised to learn about you? 

A: That my favorite TV show is how to get away with murder.

 

Q: Who is your favorite teacher and what is your favorite high school subject?

A: My favorite teacher is Mr. Celin and my favorite subject is history.

 

Q: Outside of baseball, what is your next hobby? 

A: Making music with my friend Robert.

 

Q: If you could travel anywhere outside the U.S., what would be your dream location and why?

A: It would be Brazil because of their steakhouses.

 

Q: Name the person you'd like to meet the most.

A: Tim Anderson. He is my favorite player because I love his energy and passion.

 

Q: Who has been the most influential person in your life?

A: My dad has been the most influential person because of his work ethic and the way he has raised my sister and I. I want to raise my kids the same way he has raised us.

 

Q: After baseball, what career are you planning to pursue?

A: A career as a sports analyst or a sports broadcaster.
